Domestic Water Reticulation Network Construction

The eNZONDWANE Domestic Reticulation Zone i3 tender seeks qualified contractors for the development of a comprehensive water reticulation network spanning approximately 70 kilometers. The project will utilize high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes with diameters ranging from 20mm to 90mm and oriented polyvinyl chloride (oPVC) pipes from 110mm to 200mm. The installation will include around 600 yard taps, ensuring adequate access to water for domestic use.

In addition to the primary reticulation infrastructure, the scope encompasses the installation of essential components such as air, scour, and isolating valves, as well as meter chambers for accurate water measurement. The project will also integrate break pressure tanks and pressure reducing valves (PRVs) to maintain optimal water pressure throughout the network. Furthermore, telemetry systems will be implemented to facilitate real-time monitoring and management of the water distribution system, enhancing operational efficiency and responsiveness to demand fluctuations.
