Call for Visual Artists and Sculptors

The Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts and Culture is seeking submissions from both established and emerging visual artists, sculptors, and multidisciplinary creators for the development of an art collection intended for the Limpopo Provincial Theatre. Artists are encouraged to present their professional profiles and portfolios that reflect the rich cultural heritage, identity, and contemporary creative expressions of Limpopo Province. The artworks will be commissioned to enhance the theatre's aesthetic and cultural significance, showcasing themes such as indigenous knowledge, community traditions, and the natural landscapes of Limpopo.

Submissions must include a portfolio with at least five examples of previous works, a CV, and a statement detailing the artist's connection to Limpopo. The evaluation process will consider artistic quality, cultural relevance, experience, and originality. Artists who meet the minimum functionality score will be shortlisted for potential inclusion in the approved artist pool, although submission does not guarantee selection or commissioning. This initiative not only provides artists with a platform to showcase their work but also contributes to the cultural enrichment of the Limpopo Provincial Theatre, making it a vibrant hub for artistic expression.
