Completion of Community Hall Construction

Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality invites qualified contractors to complete the New Seoding Community Hall, located in the Seoding area of the John Taolo Gaetsewe District, Northern Cape. The works involve finishing a partially constructed community facility and cover a broad range of building trades as set out in the Bill of Quantities: roof coverings and structural trusses with a 10-year guarantee, carpentry and joinery (solid, semi-solid and flush doors), ceilings and bulkheads (plasterboard and suspended lay-in systems), insulation, epoxy and floor coverings, aluminium shopfronts, windows and doors, pressed steel frames, louvres and roller shutters, ironmongery, internal plastering and granolithic finishes, wall and floor tiling, and glazing and mirrors. Provisional items include plumbing and drainage (rainwater goods, sanitary fittings, fire extinguishers and water heaters) and external works (paving, kerbs, concrete edge beams, water tank support, diamond mesh perimeter fencing and security gates).

Bidders must hold a valid CIDB grading of 4GB or higher and submit a complete bid document comprising the Invitation to Bid, MBD forms 1, 3.1, 4, 6.1, 7.1, 8 and 9, the priced Bill of Quantities, a valid Tax Compliance Status PIN, CSD registration report, company registration documents, certified director identity copies, bank confirmation, proof of municipal rates or lease, signed board resolution and, where applicable, a joint venture agreement. Bids are evaluated on an 80/20 basis, with 80 points for price and 20 points for preferential procurement, awarded for locality within the John Taolo Gaetsewe District (10 points) and B-BBEE status level (10 points). Prices must be firm, VAT inclusive and valid for 90 days from the closing date. A 2% contingency and 15% VAT are included in the pricing schedule. Bids must be placed in the municipal bid box at the Main Office, Cnr Voortrekker and School Street, Kuruman, by 12:00 on 10 November 2026. Late, emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted.

This project will provide the Seoding community with a completed, functional public facility for meetings, events and community programmes, supporting local service delivery and socio-economic development. Contractors should note that the Unpriced BOQ and the specifications (EP/ASC Revision 0) must be studied carefully, that the ground is assumed to be loose sandy material that may include rock, and that quantities such as shop front and window measurements must be confirmed on site before installation.
