Short-Term Water Supply Services

Johannesburg Water is inviting qualified private water producers to participate in a Request for Information (RFI) for a Short-Term Water Demand Program. The aim is to identify alternative water sources to supplement the city's water supply, focusing on portable water solutions such as aboveground and underground water. The program seeks to establish a business case that encompasses abstraction, treatment processes, and storage systems, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with Johannesburg Water's infrastructure needs.

Bidders are expected to provide detailed information regarding their water supply capabilities, including the quality of water that meets SANS 241 standards. The program has a maximum capacity limit of 20 million liters per day, and all proposals must include comprehensive pricing structures that account for all applicable costs, including VAT. Service providers will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of their facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
