Environmental Impact Assessment Services

The City of Tshwane is inviting bids for the appointment of a consultant to undertake Environmental Impact Studies (EIS) and associated specialist studies for new cemetery developments. The successful bidder will be responsible for conducting a Basic Assessment process in accordance with the National Environmental Management Act and related regulations. This includes compiling a Basic Assessment Report (BAR) that incorporates an Environmental Management Programme (EMP) and Rehabilitation Plan, as well as conducting various specialist studies such as ecological assessments and traffic impact studies.

The scope of work requires the consultant to manage all aspects of the EIS, including public participation processes, consultations with relevant authorities, and the submission of all necessary documentation for environmental authorisation. The consultant will also need to ensure that all deliverables are provided in both hard and electronic formats, and that regular communication with the City’s project management team is maintained throughout the project duration.
