Replacement of A3 and A4 Passenger Loading Bridges

The Airports Company of South Africa is inviting tenders for the replacement of the A3 and A4 passenger loading bridges at Cape Town International Airport. The successful contractor will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of the project, including the assessment, safe decommissioning, and removal of existing structures, as well as the design, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of new bridges. The project aims to enhance operational efficiency and safety by replacing outdated infrastructure with state-of-the-art loading bridges that comply with current safety and operational standards.

The scope of work encompasses various tasks such as conducting a baseline risk assessment, obtaining necessary permits, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The contractor must also provide ongoing maintenance and servicing during the contract period. This project not only aims to improve passenger experience but also to ensure that the airport meets the growing demands of air travel while adhering to stringent safety and operational guidelines. The successful bidder will be expected to demonstrate a strong track record in similar projects and possess the necessary CIDB grading of 7 ME or higher.
