The Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) is inviting proposals for the appointment of a reputable records management specialist service provider. The successful bidder will be responsible for managing both physical and electronic records, ensuring compliance with legislation such as the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the National Archives and Records Services Act. The service provider will facilitate the migration of existing records, provide secure document storage solutions, and implement an electronic records management system that integrates with existing platforms like Azure.
The scope of work includes the management of approximately 15,000 boxes of physical records currently stored off-site, as well as the development and implementation of a robust electronic records management system. This system must allow for secure storage, retrieval, and destruction of records in accordance with legal requirements. Additionally, the service provider will be expected to offer ongoing maintenance and support, staff training, and advisory services on best practices in records management. The contract duration is from the date of appointment until March 31, 2030, with a possibility of extension based on performance and SASSETA's needs.
