BVLOS Drone Training and Certification Services NEW

The National Research Foundation (NRF) is inviting proposals for the provision of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) training and certification for two of its technicians. This training is critical for ensuring that the employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate drones beyond visual line of sight, which is increasingly important in various applications such as research, monitoring, and environmental assessments. The selected service provider must have accreditation from the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) and demonstrate a proven track record in delivering high-quality drone training programs.

The scope of work includes comprehensive training sessions covering the theoretical and practical aspects of BVLOS operations, culminating in certification for the participants. The training must align with current aviation regulations and best practices, ensuring that the employees can safely and effectively manage drone operations. The successful bidder will provide all necessary training materials, resources, and certification documentation, with the training to be conducted at a location agreed upon with the NRF. This initiative not only enhances the operational capabilities of the NRF but also contributes to the broader goals of advancing drone technology in South Africa.
