Radio Astronomy Image Gallery Displays

The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) is inviting quotations from qualified service providers for the conceptualization, manufacturing, and installation of two image gallery displays at its Engineering Operations Centre in Klerefontein, Northern Cape. The project scope includes creating an engaging visual representation of the journey of global and South African radio astronomy, with specific dimensions for each display wall. The successful bidder will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including design, materials, labor, and transportation, ensuring that all artwork is approved by SARAO prior to installation.

The displays will be situated in a canteen area with a total floor size of 222 m², featuring an inner wall display measuring 481 cm x 254 cm and an outer wall display measuring 995 cm x 254 cm. Service providers must ensure that all work is completed within 12 working days of receiving the official purchase order. This project not only enhances the educational experience for visitors but also showcases South Africa's contributions to the field of radio astronomy, aligning with SARAO's mission to promote scientific knowledge and innovation.
