Supply and delivery of one R&S FSC3 spectrum analyzer (or equivalent) to Sentech's Port Elizabeth office, with 9 kHz to 3 GHz range, high sensitivity, tracking generator and LAN/USB remote control. Quotes close 27 October 2026.
Sentech SOC Limited, South Africa's largest broadcasting signal distributor and a licensed Electronic Communications Network Service provider, is inviting quotations for the supply and delivery of one spectrum analyzer to its Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) office. The instrument is needed to replace a faulty unit that cannot be repaired because it is obsolete. Sentech uses spectrum analyzers to measure the RF parameters of transmitters at remote tower sites and to perform off-air RF measurements, so that transmitter equipment operates within specification. The replacement will allow the Port Elizabeth maintenance team to continue servicing its network.
The specified equipment is one R&S FSC3 spectrum analyzer or an equivalent model. The instrument must cover a frequency range of 9 kHz to 3 GHz and offer high sensitivity, specified as better than -141 dBm. It must include an internal tracking generator and LAN and USB interfaces for remote control and transfer of measurement data. Quotations must be submitted on company letterhead, fully completed and signed in black ink, and returned by email to the Quotations Administrator, Nomaswazi Mhlanga, by the closing date of 27 October 2026 at 12:00. Quotes must remain valid for 90 days. Pricing must be in South African Rand, inclusive of VAT and delivery, using the pricing summary provided in the RFQ.
Bidders must be tax compliant, registered on the Sentech Supplier Database, and must sign the Supplier Consent Form and the Standard Bidding Documents, including the SBD4 declaration of interest. Only bidders that meet all administrative responsiveness criteria will proceed to functional and price evaluation. Evaluation follows the 80/20 preference point system, under which the lowest acceptable price scores the most points. Preference points for B-BBEE status are available only to bidders that provide a valid B-BBEE certificate. Sentech may verify information, request documentary proof, extend the closing date, or cancel the requirement. Any successful bidder must sign a Service Level Agreement and may not subcontract without Sentech's approval. Sentech also reserves the right to conduct supplier due diligence before, during, and after the contract period.
Suppliers and distributors of RF and test and measurement equipment, including authorised resellers or agents of Rohde & Schwarz or equivalent manufacturers, and electronics and telecommunications equipment suppliers. Businesses must be able to supply a compliant spectrum analyzer, deliver it to Port Elizabeth, and meet Sentech's registration, tax compliance, and B-BBEE requirements. Companies that only provide professional services without the ability to supply physical equipment should not apply.
