Seeking a qualified structural engineer to assess, design, and recommend remedial work for the roof of a multi-story building. Key requirements include experience with timber structures and a detailed report with cost estimates.
Sentech is inviting proposals from registered professional structural engineers to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the roof at the Bloemfontein OC Building. The scope includes evaluating the current structural integrity, designing necessary upgrades or replacements, and providing a detailed report that outlines the proposed remedial measures along with a Bill of Quantities and estimated timelines. The building, a unique circular structure, poses specific challenges that require expertise in timber rafters and bracing systems.
The successful bidder will be responsible for not only the assessment but also for overseeing the implementation of the recommended works. This includes sourcing competent contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining communication with Sentech's management throughout the project. The project is expected to commence immediately upon acceptance of the quotation, making timely and efficient service delivery critical.
