The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone seeks qualified service providers to supply, deliver, and configure state-of-the-art camera systems, as well as to enhance the current access control systems. This project aims to improve security measures within the zone, ensuring a safer environment for all stakeholders. Bidders are required to demonstrate their capability in delivering high-quality surveillance technology and access control solutions that meet the specified functionality criteria.
The tender process will involve a compliance assessment followed by a functionality evaluation, where a minimum score of 70% is necessary for further consideration. The evaluation will then transition to price and preference scoring based on an 80/20 system, in line with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act. Bidders must also adhere to the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) requirements, targeting companies with a B-BBEE status level of 1 to 3. The RBIDZ reserves the right to select the proposal that best meets its needs, regardless of price or scoring, ensuring that the chosen service provider aligns with its strategic objectives.
This tender is suitable for businesses specializing in security technology, particularly those with experience in camera systems and access control solutions. Companies that meet the B-BBEE criteria and can demonstrate a strong track record in similar projects are encouraged to apply.
