The Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) is inviting proposals for ID verification services over a twelve-month period. The selected service provider will be responsible for verifying learner identities by matching their details, such as names and surnames, against the National Population Register (NPR). This initiative aims to enhance the accuracy and reliability of data collected through the Integrated Learner Management System (ILMS), thereby improving overall data management and reporting capabilities.
The scope of work includes an initial bulk verification of approximately 25,000 learner records, followed by ongoing verification as new data is captured in the ILMS. The service provider must utilize an API integration tool to ensure seamless reporting of learner status and maintain a system uptime of 99.9%. Additionally, the provider will be expected to deliver detailed reports on verified information, exception reports for failed verifications, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This tender presents an opportunity for experienced firms to contribute to the modernization of MICT SETA's data management processes, enhancing customer-centric services and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This tender is suitable for established firms specializing in identity verification, data management solutions, and API integrations, particularly those with a proven track record in similar services and experience working with government entities.
