The Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) invites accredited service providers to submit proposals for the provision of STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) and Skippers License Category C training. The training program will span 14 days, consisting of 9 days for STCW training targeting 50 beneficiaries and 5 days for Skippers License training for 15 beneficiaries. The selected provider must be accredited by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) and provide certificates upon completion.
The training will cover essential topics such as personal safety, survival techniques, fire prevention, and first aid for STCW, as well as seamanship, small vessel handling, navigation, and legal requirements for the Skippers License.
