Universal Accessibility Assessment Services

The National Lotteries Commission (NLC) is committed to ensuring that its facilities are accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. This tender invites suitably qualified service providers to conduct a thorough Universal Accessibility Assessment of NLC's buildings and facilities, which include the Head Office, nine Provincial Offices, and an office block at the SABS Campus in Gauteng. The assessment will evaluate compliance with South African legislation and standards, focusing on physical, environmental, and operational barriers that hinder access for persons with disabilities.

The scope of work includes an inception and planning phase, where the service provider will meet with NLC representatives to clarify project details. The assessment will cover various aspects such as access routes, entrances, circulation areas, ablution facilities, and emergency arrangements. The provider will also engage with employees to gather feedback on accessibility challenges. Following the assessment, the service provider will deliver a comprehensive report with practical recommendations for improvements, ensuring that NLC facilities are compliant with applicable regulations and standards. This initiative not only aims to enhance accessibility but also to foster an inclusive environment for all stakeholders.
