Rural Roads Management System Development

The Sekhukhune District Municipality is inviting tenders for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Rural Roads Management System (RRAMS) aimed at enhancing the management and maintenance of rural road infrastructure. The successful bidder will be responsible for conducting condition assessments of paved and unpaved roads, bridges, and culverts, as well as performing road safety audits and managing the existing web-based RRAMS software application. Additionally, the contractor will be tasked with developing an annual Road Asset Management Plan (RAMP) and providing capacity support to local municipalities.

Key requirements include the ability to prepare detailed monthly progress and quarterly reports, attend provincial meetings, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This project is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of road management in the district, ultimately leading to better road safety and accessibility for rural communities. Bidders must demonstrate experience in road and transportation engineering, as well as the capacity to deliver high-quality reports and assessments throughout the contract duration.
