Election Support Services for Local Government

The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs is inviting bids for a service provider to support the Chief Directorate: Municipal Governance and Administration in the lead-up to the 2026 Local Government Elections. This role includes facilitating workshops, engaging with municipal stakeholders, and conducting voter education initiatives. The appointed provider will ensure compliance with electoral laws and assist in the development of a structured stakeholder engagement plan to promote inclusive participation.

The service provider will be expected to have a minimum of five years of experience in municipal electoral processes, governance, or related advisory services. Key responsibilities include conducting capacity-building workshops for municipal officials, analyzing unregistered voters, and maintaining accurate records of all engagements. The contract will be monitored through monthly progress reports and will require adherence to legislative requirements, ensuring a well-organized electoral process leading up to the elections.
