The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) is inviting proposals for the provision of a comprehensive 24-hour fraud and corruption hotline service. This service will be operational 365 days a year, enabling employees, contractors, suppliers, and the public to anonymously report any fraudulent or corrupt activities. The successful provider will offer multiple reporting channels, including a toll-free telephone number, fax, and secure email, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality for all users. Each report will be assigned a reference number for follow-up, and all communications will be recorded and stored securely for a minimum of two months.
In addition to hotline operations, the service provider will be responsible for conducting quarterly workshops to promote awareness of the hotline and its functionalities. Monthly reports detailing hotline activities and any significant issues reported will be provided to the NRCS, ensuring transparency and accountability. The service must comply with relevant South African legislation, including the Protected Disclosure Act, and the provider must demonstrate a strong track record in managing similar services, particularly within the public sector.
