Protection and Control Equipment Supply and Support

Eskom Distribution is inviting expressions of interest for the engineering, supply, training, and support of a range of Protection, Control, and Substation Automation Equipment. This includes equipment predominantly from Hitachi and IST, along with associated swing frame panels and PIU Junction Boxes. The successful bidder will be expected to uphold the original design intent, ensuring consistency in system architecture, brand, and types of Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) used.

The scope of work encompasses reviewing and taking responsibility for previously developed designs, modifying them as necessary, and designing new schemes aligned with existing architecture. Deliverables include the manufacture, delivery, and installation of equipment within specified timelines, as well as the provision of training and technical support. The contract is structured to last for up to four years, emphasizing the importance of maintaining operational efficiency and reliability in Eskom's distribution network.
