66/11kV Substation Construction

Overstrand Municipality has invited tenders (Tender No. OVM-15/2026/27) for the construction of a new 66/11kV substation at Still Street in Hermanus, Western Cape. The project is a capital electrical infrastructure development that will expand the municipality's high-voltage distribution network. Sealed tenders must be deposited in Tender Box No. 3 at the Overstrand Municipality offices by the closing date and time of 12:00 on 2 December 2026. Only submissions on the bid documentation issued by Overstrand Municipality will be accepted. Tenders will be opened publicly by SCM personnel immediately after the closing time. Evaluation will follow the 90/10 preference point system under the municipality's Procurement Policy, which weights price at 90 points and specified preference criteria at 10 points. Successful bidders will gain a substantial municipal infrastructure project that strengthens local electricity supply in Hermanus.
