Legal Transaction Advisory Services for Gas IPPPP

The Development Bank of Southern Africa is inviting proposals for the procurement of a Legal Transaction Advisor to assist the Independent Power Producers' Office (IPP Office) in the Gas Independent Power Producers Procurement Programme (GAS IPPPP) for Bid Window 2. The successful advisor will be responsible for drafting the Request for Proposals (RFP), including all associated agreements, and will provide legal support throughout the evaluation of bids and the financial close process. This role is critical in ensuring that the procurement of 1,000 MW of new gas-fired generation capacity aligns with the government's energy transition goals and regulatory frameworks.

The scope of work includes optimizing the RFP documentation, engaging with stakeholders, evaluating bid responses, and advising on legal matters related to disputes and claims.
