Mintek is inviting qualified suppliers to submit proposals for the procurement of two servers as part of an infrastructure upgrade. The servers will support a virtualized environment based on VMware ESXi, which currently hosts approximately 66 virtual servers, primarily running Microsoft Windows Server workloads. The successful bidder must ensure that the servers meet the specified technical requirements, including the latest hardware standards and compatibility with VMware's hypervisor. Additionally, the servers must be delivered within eight weeks from the issuance of the Purchase Order.
The proposal must include comprehensive warranty support, offering next-business-day onsite assistance for a period of five years from the date of final acceptance. Suppliers are required to provide valid certification from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) confirming their status as authorized resellers. Furthermore, a local presence in South Africa is essential to ensure timely access to spare parts and technical resources for ongoing maintenance and support. This procurement aims to enhance Mintek's operational efficiency while minimizing disruption to critical services.
