This tender seeks an accounting firm to provide five resources for reviewing standard operating procedures, enhancing financial controls, and conducting quality reviews of financial statements for INSETA over three financial years.
The Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) is inviting bids from qualified accounting firms to appoint five resources dedicated to enhancing financial operations. The selected firm will support INSETA in reviewing its standard operating procedures, improving financial internal controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Additionally, the firm will conduct quality reviews of annual and interim financial statements and assist in compiling comprehensive audit working files. This initiative aims to address the qualified audit opinion received for the 2024/2025 financial year and to streamline financial processes to prevent future discrepancies.
The scope of work includes a thorough review of GRAP-compliant financial statements for the fiscal years 2025/26 to 2027/28, enhancing the internal control environment, and producing detailed assessment reports with actionable recommendations. The firm must provide qualified personnel, including a project leader (CA(SA) and RA) and four senior accountants (with relevant degrees), who are immediately available. The successful bidder will play a crucial role in ensuring that INSETA's financial statements are accurate, complete, and compliant with the applicable regulations, ultimately leading to improved financial governance and accountability.
This tender is suitable for established accounting firms with experience in public sector financial reviews, compliance, and audit processes. Firms should have qualified personnel and a proven track record in enhancing financial controls and preparing financial statements in accordance with GRAP standards.
