Tailored Research Ethics Training Course

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is inviting proposals for the provision of a tailored Research Ethics Training Course for a duration of five years. This course aims to equip CSIR researchers, research managers, and Research Ethics Committee (REC) members with essential knowledge and skills to uphold ethical standards in research practices. The training will be conducted on an 'as and when required' basis, with specific sessions designed for different target groups, ensuring a comprehensive approach to research ethics across various disciplines.

The successful service provider will be responsible for developing course materials, delivering training sessions both online and in-person at the CSIR Pretoria campus, and ensuring an interactive learning experience. Key requirements include the submission of detailed technical proposals outlining the methodology, course content, facilitator qualifications, and assessment strategies. The training will cater to diverse groups, including REC members and research managers, with sessions tailored to address health-related and non-health-related research ethics. This initiative not only aims to enhance compliance with ethical standards but also to foster a culture of integrity and accountability within the research community.
