The South African Post Office (SAPO) is inviting proposals from qualified auctioneers to form a panel that will provide auction services for its moveable assets and parcels located in the Return Letter Office (RLO). The selected auctioneers will be responsible for conducting auctions on a rotational basis, ensuring maximum participation and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The auction services will be rendered at zero cost to SAPO, with all expenses and profits recouped through auction fees charged to buyers.
Bidders must demonstrate proven experience in auction services, with a minimum of three years in the industry, and must be registered with the South African Institute of Auctioneers (SAIA). The scope of work includes asset valuation, cataloguing, site preparation, and conducting the auction (either live or online). Post-auction services will involve reconciling sales, collecting proceeds, and submitting detailed reports within specified timeframes.
