Safety Officer and Event Logistics Services

The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure invites suitable and capable service providers to submit quotations for safety officer, catering, and event logistical services for the MEC’s post-budget speech public engagements scheduled for August 2026. The events will take place at various venues, including Howick West Community Hall, Hillcrest, and KZN Sharks Board & Conference Centre, catering to approximately 200 attendees at each event. Service providers must ensure that all catering includes necessary items such as serving tables, cutlery, and beverages, while also providing a qualified safety officer for each event.

Bidders must comply with administrative requirements, including registration with the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submission of three reference letters for similar projects. The evaluation will follow a phased approach, assessing compliance, mandatory requirements, and specific goals, with an emphasis on ownership by Black individuals. The successful bidders will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of these public engagements, contributing to effective community interaction and feedback following the budget speech.
