Seeking a service provider to update the 2027/2028 Sector Skills Plan for the Media, Information and Communication Technologies sector, ensuring alignment with current skills needs and trends. The project duration is eight months.
The Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) is inviting proposals from qualified service providers to undertake the update of the Sector Skills Plan (SSP) for the 2027/2028 period. This project aims to bridge the skills gap in the sector by accurately reflecting current skills demands and priorities in line with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) SSP Framework and Guidelines. The successful bidder will review existing SSP documentation, identify gaps, and develop comprehensive provincial and sub-sector reports that address the unique needs of each region and sub-sector.
The appointed service provider will collaborate with the MICT SSP Research team, focusing on specific chapters of the SSP while ensuring that all deliverables are met within the eight-month contract period. Key deliverables include an inception report, updated drafts of the SSP, provincial reports, and sub-sector mini-reports, all formatted according to MICT SETA standards. This project not only contributes to the strategic goals of the National Development Plan but also enhances the capabilities of South African citizens by aligning education with industry needs.
This tender is suitable for consulting firms, research organizations, and educational institutions with expertise in labor market analysis, skills development, and sector-specific research. Businesses should have a proven track record in developing Sector Skills Plans or similar documentation.
