Training for Solar PV Maintenance Personnel

Sentech is inviting proposals from competent and accredited training providers to conduct comprehensive training for electricians, maintenance officers, and team leaders responsible for the upkeep of Solar PV plants with capacities of 300 kW. The training will cover essential topics such as regulatory compliance, technical competency, and safe operational practices, ensuring that personnel are well-equipped to handle the complexities of solar energy systems. The contract will last for three years, with an option to extend for an additional two years, emphasizing the importance of ongoing education in this rapidly evolving field.

The scope of training includes both theoretical and practical components, addressing critical areas such as Solar PV fundamentals, maintenance and fault finding, safety protocols, and compliance with national standards. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises, risk assessments, and case studies to enhance their practical skills. The successful provider will be responsible for developing detailed training materials, conducting assessments, and issuing certificates of competence, thereby ensuring a high standard of training that meets industry requirements. This initiative not only aims to enhance the technical skills of maintenance personnel but also to promote safety and reliability in the operation of solar energy systems.
