Moderation Services for External Assessments

The Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) is inviting proposals for the appointment of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to moderate External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISA) for the Occupational Certificate: Detective, which comprises 171 credits. The successful service provider will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of assessment instruments, including exam papers and model answers, in alignment with the established qualification blueprints. The moderation process is expected to be completed within three days for each assessment cycle, with the contract running until March 31, 2027.

To qualify, bidders must demonstrate a minimum of six years of experience in a policing or investigative environment and five years in assessment and moderation practices. Additionally, they must hold relevant qualifications, including an NQF level 6 qualification in Policing and a valid ETDP SETA assessor and moderator statement.
