The Mine Health and Safety Council (MHSC) is inviting proposals for the provision of an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Disaster Recovery (DR) solution for a duration of 12 months. The selected service provider will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of MHSC's business operations in the event of a disaster. This includes the duplication of the production environment, implementation of data replication with defined Recovery Point and Time Objectives, and provision of a robust backup solution. The DR site must be located within 30 to 75 km from the MHSC office and equipped with necessary environmental controls and security measures.
The scope of work encompasses establishing a dedicated 1 Gbps network link between the MHSC production site and the DR site, conducting regular DR tests, and providing ongoing technical support. Additionally, the service provider will be required to conduct training and simulation exercises for MHSC staff, ensuring that the organization is well-prepared for any potential disruptions.
