Deliverables include an asset register, legal and governance reports, technical and financial assessments, and an asset-level risk register, over a 6-8 week assignment.
Corridor Mining Resources (CMR), a state-owned mining investment holding company, is inviting quotations from suitably qualified service providers to conduct a comprehensive audit and strategic review of its asset portfolio. CMR holds equity interests in a range of mineral assets, some operational and others at project stage, grouped into subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates based on its shareholding in each. The assignment is intended to strengthen portfolio management, improve capital allocation, unlock value and align the asset base with CMR's strategic objectives, giving management and the Board a clear evidence base for decisions on potential portfolio restructuring.
The scope of work spans five workstreams: portfolio inventory (mineral rights, equity investments and shareholder loans); legal audit (litigation, contracts, pre-emptive rights and other transfer restrictions); technical and geological review (exploration and prospecting records, feasibility studies, production performance and life-of-mine plans); financial review (cash generation, dividends received, asset profitability, funding requirements and outstanding liabilities); and risk assessment (likelihood, potential impact and mitigation measures across legal, financial, regulatory, contractual and commodity price risks). The appointed provider must deliver a consolidated comprehensive asset register, an assets audit report with legal and governance assessments for each asset, a technical and financial assessment report covering performance, development status, capital requirements and economic assessment, and an asset-level risk register.
Bidders should demonstrate comparable audit or due diligence assignments completed in the past three to five years, relevant corporate or mining auditing and advisory experience, and experience in comprehensive due diligence or portfolio reviews. The assignment is expected to take approximately six to eight weeks from commencement. Mandatory documents include a company profile, CVs of key personnel and reference letters; quotations without these will not be considered. Pricing must be submitted as a ceiling price covering all phases and expenses, inclusive of taxes, with rates per person and per phase. Bids are evaluated on an 80/20 price and specific goals basis, with preference points for B-BBEE-related ownership categories, women, youth, persons with disabilities, small businesses, Limpopo-based enterprises and military veterans. Tax compliance (TCS PIN or CSD number) is required. Hard copy submissions must be deposited in the LEDA tender box at LEDA headquarters, Lebowakgomo, by 11:00 on Friday, 28 October 2026. Emailed submissions will not be accepted.
Audit and advisory firms with corporate or mining audit experience, due diligence and portfolio review specialists, mining consultancies with technical and geological expertise, and multidisciplinary teams combining legal, financial and risk capabilities.
