Independent Valuation Services for Unlisted Investments

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is inviting proposals for the establishment of a panel of independent valuers to assist in the valuation of unlisted investments and provide ongoing support for a Board-level Valuations Committee. The selected service provider will be responsible for developing a governance framework, standardizing review methodologies, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards. Key deliverables include the creation of a Committee Charter, risk-based review methodologies, and capacity-building materials to enhance the skills of IDC personnel involved in investment valuations.

The scope of work encompasses a detailed review of financial instruments, validation of valuation methodologies, and independent oversight to ensure that management's assumptions are credible and reasonable. The successful bidder will also be required to provide bi-annual assurance to the IDC Board Audit Committee, presenting findings and recommendations based on thorough analysis. This engagement aims to enhance the credibility of the IDC's financial reporting and ensure that fair value estimates align with internal policies and governance requirements, ultimately contributing to sustainable economic growth.
