Assessment of Irregular and Wasteful Expenditure

The National Heritage Council (NHC) is inviting qualified service providers to conduct an in-depth assessment and determination of potential irregular, fruitless, and wasteful expenditure (IFWE). This project is critical for ensuring compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and aims to identify non-compliance with relevant legislation, assess the financial impact of such expenditures, and recommend corrective actions. The successful bidder will be expected to complete the assessment within 60 calendar days and provide a detailed report outlining findings and recommendations.

The scope of work includes investigating the nature of irregularities, identifying root causes of IFWE, and evaluating the effectiveness of existing internal controls. Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in conducting similar investigations and provide certified qualifications of key personnel involved in the project.
