Seeking accredited service providers to conduct pre-assessments, gap closure, trade test preparations, and trade testing for 14 Diesel Mechanic candidates under Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL).
The Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC) invites proposals from accredited assessment centers to provide comprehensive trade testing services for 14 Diesel Mechanic candidates. This includes conducting pre-assessments to identify skills gaps, facilitating gap closure training, preparing candidates for trade tests, and executing the actual trade testing process in compliance with merSETA/QCTO/NAMB standards. The successful bidder will play a crucial role in enhancing the skills of these candidates, thereby contributing to the development of the automotive sector in Gauteng.
The scope of work encompasses several key components: initial pre-assessments to evaluate the candidates' current competencies, targeted training sessions to address identified gaps, thorough preparation for the trade tests, and the administration of the trade tests themselves. Bidders must demonstrate experience in trade testing, provide qualified assessors and moderators, and adhere to all relevant accreditation requirements. This project aims to ensure that candidates are equipped with the necessary skills to meet industry standards, ultimately fostering a skilled workforce in the automotive sector.
This tender is suitable for accredited assessment centers, training providers, and businesses specializing in skills development and trade testing within the automotive sector.
