Feasibility and Advisory Services for Water Infrastructure

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is inviting proposals for the appointment of a service provider to deliver feasibility, business case development, advisory, and implementation readiness services for the Oppitopi Reservoir Node upgrade project. This initiative is critical for addressing the current operational challenges faced by the water supply infrastructure in the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality, which serves a population of over 161,600. The successful bidder will be required to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study, including technical, environmental, and financial assessments, to ensure the project's viability and readiness for implementation.

The scope of work encompasses four key phases: an initial information review and gap analysis, a detailed feasibility study, transaction advisory services, and the compilation of an intermediate business case. The appointed service provider will also be responsible for engaging with relevant stakeholders, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and developing a robust funding strategy. This project not only aims to rehabilitate existing infrastructure but also to modernize it with energy-efficient systems and automated monitoring capabilities, ultimately enhancing the reliability and quality of water supply to the community.
