BANKSETA seeks a service provider to host its Annual General Meeting on 4 December 2026 as a hybrid event, covering a physical venue for 160 attendees in Houghton/Melrose Arch or Sandton and virtual access for 50-100 participants via MS Teams. Pricing must follow National Treasury cost containment measures, be quoted per head, and show VAT separately.
The Banking Sector Education and Training Authority (BANKSETA), a statutory body established under the Skills Development Act of 1998, is requesting quotations for the hosting of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) as a hybrid event. The AGM is a statutory requirement at which the organisation reports on its annual performance and financial status to stakeholders. The preferred date is Friday, 4 December 2026, although any other date in December may be considered, with the official date to be confirmed upon award. The event is planned for 08:00 to 15:00.
The scope of work requires a suitable physical venue located in Houghton or Melrose Arch (Melrose Boulevard) or in Sandton, accommodating approximately 160 in-person attendees. The virtual component must cater for 50 to 100 remote stakeholders, with BANKSETA managing the online participation through Microsoft Teams. The venue must adhere to National Treasury cost containment measures, and pricing must be submitted as a cost per head inclusive of all requirements stated in the specification. Quotations must cover the total cost of the scope of work, VAT must be shown separately, and no price adjustments will be permitted after the closing date. Quotations must remain valid for 90 days after closing.
Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submit a CSD Master Registration report, against which BANKSETA will verify tax compliance. Mandatory returnable documents include SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form) and the BANKSETA preference points claim document. Evaluation is based on the 80/20 price and preference point system, with up to 20 points awarded for BANKSETA's specific goals: black ownership (51% threshold), women ownership (33%), youth ownership (33%), persons with disabilities (10% ownership or 5% employment), and small and medium enterprises. A compulsory-style briefing session was held on 3 November 2026 via Microsoft Teams, and quotations must be submitted electronically in PDF format to the designated BANKSETA email addresses by 14:00 on 12 November 2026.
Event management companies, conference and venue operators in Houghton, Melrose Arch or Sandton, and hybrid event technology providers with experience in corporate AGMs and MS Teams integration. Businesses must be registered on the National Treasury CSD and tax compliant. Black-owned, women-owned, youth-owned, disability-owned and small and medium enterprises are encouraged to apply, as they may claim preference points under BANKSETA's specific goals.
