Sewer Winching Services Framework

The eThekwini Municipality is inviting tenders for the creation of a contractor panel specializing in sewer winching services, to be utilized within the Sanitation Operations Department over a period of 36 months. This framework aims to address urgent sewer maintenance needs, ensuring the effective removal of blockages and debris from sewer lines ranging from 200mm to 1050mm in diameter. Contractors must provide proof of relevant experience, including completion of at least five contracts in similar works within the last ten years, and must have the appropriate equipment and personnel trained to operate in hazardous conditions associated with live sewer flows.

The scope of work includes not only the winching of sewer lines but also the disposal of extracted materials, which must be handled in compliance with environmental regulations. Contractors will be required to maintain a high level of safety and operational standards, ensuring that all work is conducted efficiently and with minimal disruption to the public.
