The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) has issued a Request for Quotations (RFQ 302 AM 26/27) for the supply and delivery of five standard laptops and associated accessories for its head office at Environment House, 473 Steve Biko Road, Pretoria. The package comprises six line items, each with a quantity of five: the standard laptop, a laptop backpack, a laptop lock, a keyboard and a mouse. The approved specification permits three brands, Dell (Pro 14 PC14250), HP (EliteBook 6 G1i) and Lenovo (ThinkPad T14 Gen 5), provided the offered model fully complies with the detailed specification in Annexures B, C and D, including the required Nettrace Absolute licence, vPro enablement, Windows 11 Pro OEM licensing, a 3-year warranty with next-business-day onsite support, and the South African red-plug power adapter.
To be eligible, bidders must be a Manufacturer's Authorised Dealer for the brand they offer and submit an OEM certificate as proof of authorisation. Bidders must also be accredited under SITA RFB 740 in Gauteng and submit the SITA accreditation letter. These two requirements are mandatory, and non-submission will result in disqualification. Quotations must be issued on company letterhead and clearly show item descriptions, validity period, banking details, contact details and the CSD MAAA number, with prices inclusive of VAT and all delivery costs. Bidders must also submit a valid tax compliance status, CSD registration, and completed SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms. The evaluation uses the 80/20 preference point system for quotations up to R1 000 000, with 20 points available for specific goals based on Black, women or disabled ownership. Quotations must be emailed to Quotations@dffe.gov.za (noting the RFQ number in the subject line) by 29 October 2026, and remain valid for 90 days. No goods may be delivered before a formal purchase order is issued.
