Independent Confidential Ethics Hotline Services

The Ekurhuleni Water Care Company (ERWAT) is inviting bids for the appointment of a service provider to establish and manage an independent and confidential ethics hotline service for a duration of 36 months. This service aims to provide a secure and accessible reporting mechanism for employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report suspected unethical conduct without fear of retaliation. The service provider will be responsible for operating the hotline 24/7, ensuring reports can be made via multiple channels including a toll-free telephone line, secure email, web-based platform, SMS, and a mobile application.

In addition to hotline operations, the successful bidder will also be tasked with developing and implementing an ethics awareness program, which includes creating promotional materials and conducting training sessions for ERWAT staff. Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on hotline usage and trends will be required to ensure transparency and continuous improvement of the ethics management framework. This initiative is critical in promoting a culture of integrity and accountability within ERWAT, aligning with the organization's commitment to ethical governance and compliance with relevant legislation.
