Laser Traffic Enforcement Camera Supply

Makhado Local Municipality, Limpopo, has issued Tender 53 of 2026 for the supply and delivery of laser cameras to support its traffic law enforcement function. The tender is classified under General Supplies and is administered by the Community Services Department. Bidders must submit a tender for the supply and delivery of the laser camera equipment in accordance with the technical specification contained in the bid documents. Bid documents are available from the Procurement Office, Ground Floor, Block B043, 83 Krogh Street, Civic Centre, Makhado, from 3 November 2026 at a non-refundable cost of R600.00 per document. Alternatively, the documents can be downloaded free of charge from the National Treasury e-Tender Portal (etenders.treasury.gov.za) or from the municipal website (www.makhado.gov.za). Bids will be opened publicly in the Council Chamber, Ground Floor, Civic Centre, 83 Krogh Street, Makhado.

The evaluation is based on the 80/20 preferential procurement point system, under which price carries 80 points and specific goals carry 20 points. Bids must remain valid for 90 days after the closing date. Mandatory compliance documents include a valid SARS Tax Compliance PIN, a copy of the company registration documents (CK), certified copies of company owners' ID documents not older than three months, and proof that municipal rates are not in arrears for more than three months or a formal lease agreement for rental premises. These documents must be provided for both the entity and its directors. Bidders must also submit a full Central Supplier Database (CSD) report, as all service providers doing business with Makhado Municipality are required to be registered on the CSD. Late, incomplete, unsigned or non-compliant bids, or bids submitted by email, fax or telegraph, will be disqualified. The municipality is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid and reserves the right to accept part of a bid.
