AIDC-EC seeks a service provider to supply and manage 65 Microsoft 365 Business Premium licences, 10 Exchange Online (Plan 1) licences and 5 Microsoft 365 Copilot licences for three years. Bidders must be authorised Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers (CSP) with two completed transactions. Closes 17 November 2026.
The Automotive Industry Development Centre Eastern Cape (AIDC-EC), a wholly owned company of the Eastern Cape Development Corporation, has issued Tender B04/2026 for the appointment of a service provider to supply and manage Microsoft 365 licences over a three-year period. The organisation currently uses Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium licences to support its operational, administrative and strategic functions, and the existing licences are due for renewal. The appointment aims to ensure continuity of service, compliance with Microsoft licensing requirements and alignment with industry best practice.
The required scope comprises 65 Microsoft 365 Business Premium licences, 10 Exchange Online (Plan 1) licences and 5 Microsoft 365 Copilot licences for each year of the three-year contract. The successful provider must also be able to supply additional licences on an ad hoc basis throughout the contract period and support such requests promptly. Bidders must quote ad hoc pricing separately, make provision for annual price adjustments linked to CPI, and hold prices firm and fixed in South African Rand, inclusive of VAT. The contract requires a performance guarantee within 30 days of award, professional indemnity insurance, and submission of weekly or monthly progress reports as requested. A service level agreement will be signed with the successful bidder, and the service provider must be available immediately upon signing.
At Stage 1, bidders must demonstrate experience through proof of at least two completed Microsoft 365 licence transactions and provide proof of authorisation as a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider; non-compliance results in disqualification. Compliant bids are then evaluated on price (80 points) and specific goals (20 points) under the 80/20 preference point system, with points available for Black-owned, Eastern Cape-located, women-owned and youth-owned enterprises. Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database, provide a valid tax compliance status, and complete the mandatory bid forms. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the AIDC-EC Head Office in Gqeberha by 11:00 on 17 November 2026, with the bid valid for 90 days.
This tender is suited to Microsoft Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs) with proven experience supplying Microsoft 365 licences, particularly those with at least two completed transactions of comparable scale. Eastern Cape-based businesses, and enterprises that are Black-owned, women-owned or youth-owned, may benefit from specific goals points. Small IT resellers and managed service providers capable of delivering licence management and rapid ad hoc provisioning are also relevant. Businesses must be CSD-registered and tax compliant to qualify.
