ORBIT TVET College, Rustenburg Campus, invites competent and capable service providers to render comprehensive cleaning services for a period of 36 months. The campus serves approximately 3,000 students, 150 staff members and a moderate number of daily visitors. The contract requires a provider to maintain a hygienic environment across administrative offices, classrooms, computer and simulation rooms, workshops, halls and stage areas, student support and reception spaces, guard houses, kitchens and kitchenettes, mobile classrooms, a recreation hall, and numerous ablution facilities spread across several buildings, including the Admin Building, Business Studies Buildings 1 and 2, the Auditorium, Jewellery, Haircare, Engineering, Music, Enterprise Centre and IT buildings, and Campus B.
The service provider must supply the labour (10 cleaners), all cleaning chemicals, industrial-standard cleaning equipment, protective clothing, and all consumables, with 100% availability of cleaning materials at all times. Functionality criteria include three references from cleaning clients, an operational methodology with chemicals and equipment, health and safety files, supervisor skills (First Aid or Firefighting), NCCA accreditation, a continuity plan for strikes or staff shortages, and proof of financial capacity.
