20-Ton Long Arm Excavator Hire for Housekeeping

The Bergrivier Municipality is inviting quotations for the hiring of a 20-ton long arm excavator to support housekeeping operations at the Velddrif Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW). The successful bidder will be required to deliver the excavator to the site and ensure it is operational within five working days of order confirmation. The hire rate must include all costs, such as operator fees, fuel, and maintenance, ensuring a 'wet rate' arrangement. Additionally, bidders must provide documentation proving the excavator's specifications, including model year and operational capabilities.

The excavator will primarily be used for general housekeeping tasks, including clearing overgrowth and maintaining the site. Bidders are required to submit at least three contactable references from similar projects completed in the last five years. The tender evaluation will consider price, B-BBEE status, and local participation, with a total of 100 points available. This opportunity is ideal for businesses with experience in heavy machinery rental and operations, particularly those that can meet the specific requirements outlined in the tender documents.
