Supply of Refreshments and Dry Ingredients NEW

Oudtshoorn Municipality has issued a re-advertised Request for Quotation (RFQ 03/09/2026) for the supply and delivery of refreshments and dry ingredients over a period of one year. The contract is structured on an as-and-when-required basis, meaning the Municipality will place orders according to its operational needs rather than committing to fixed volumes. Potential bidders should note that the Municipality does not guarantee that all projects linked to this quotation will materialise. Quotations must be submitted on the original, fully completed quotation documents in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the RFQ reference. Submissions must be placed in the Municipal quotation box at 26 Church Street, Oudtshoorn, no later than 12:00 on Thursday, 19 November 2026. Quotations will be opened in public immediately after the closing time in the Supply Chain Management Office at the same address. Each quotation must remain valid for 90 days after the closing date. Registration on the Central Supplier Database (www.csd.gov.za) is a prerequisite for all prospective service providers who are not yet registered. Bids from persons in the service of the state will not be considered for award.

Formal quotations will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system prescribed by the Municipality's Supply Chain Management Policy. Up to 10 points are allocated for B-BBEE status, and up to 10 points for locality of supplier: 10 points for suppliers within the boundaries of Oudtshoorn Municipality, 5 points for suppliers within the Eden District, 2 points for suppliers within the Western Cape Province, and 0 points for suppliers outside the province. The Municipality reserves the right to withdraw the invitation, re-advertise, reject any quotation, or accept only part of a quotation. It is not obliged to accept the lowest-priced quotation or the highest-scoring bidder.
