Drain Jetting Machine Supply and Delivery

Swellendam Municipality invites suitably qualified and registered suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of one drain jetting machine to the Swellendam Municipal Office. A drain jetting machine is used to clear blockages and clean sewer and stormwater pipelines using high-pressure water, and this procurement supports the Municipality's routine maintenance of its drainage infrastructure. The advert is a quotation notice under the Municipality's Supply Chain Management (SCM) process, which is evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system. Detailed technical specifications, pricing schedules and the prescribed quotation forms are obtainable from the SCM Unit at 11 Lind Street, Swellendam, by telephone on 028 514 8500 or by email at scm@swellendam.gov.za from 5 November 2026. Technical enquiries must be submitted in writing to Jenovaan Booysen at jenovaanb@swellendam.gov.za. Verbal enquiries will not be handled, and no enquiries will be accepted during the last two days before the closing date.

Quotations must be submitted only on the prescribed documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the quotation number and description, and placed in the Municipal Quotation Box at the Supply Chain Management Offices, 11 Lind Street, Swellendam, before 11:00 on 13 November 2026. The quotation box is accessible 24 hours a day, with a standard opening of 10 cm high by 33 cm wide. Quotations must include a valid Tax Compliance Status PIN issued by the South African Revenue Service (SARS). Late quotations, and quotations submitted by email or facsimile, will not be considered. Bids remain valid for 60 days from the closing date. The Council does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any quotation and reserves the right to accept a quotation in full or in part.

Suppliers should confirm that the machine they offer meets the Municipality's technical requirements, including performance, hose and nozzle specifications, and any accessories or training required. The price should include delivery to the Swellendam Municipal Office, and suppliers should state any warranty, after-sales service and spare parts support available.
