Dube TradePort Corporation (DTPC), a provincial public entity established to develop the Dube TradePort precinct near King Shaka International Airport, is seeking suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the maintenance and servicing of its existing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment. The contract covers a period of three years and is structured as a rate-based framework agreement. DTPC intends to appoint three successful bidders, with work allocated across three zones depending on the outcome of the evaluation: Dube Cargo Terminal (including TradeZone facilities 1), Dube AgriZone 1, and 29° South / Dube City. The appointed contractors will be called upon as required, so this is a call-off arrangement rather than a guaranteed volume of work.
The scope comprises both preventative and reactive maintenance, including HVAC/R maintenance, repairs, servicing, refurbishment or retrofit, replacement, spares supply and related support services. Bidders must hold an active CIDB contractor grading designation of 6ME or higher by the closing date. Bidders registered as potentially emerging enterprises (PE status) with a CIDB grading of 5ME PE or higher will not be permitted to bid. Evaluation follows the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) Regulations, 2022, using the 80/20 preference point system. The process has three stages: administrative and mandatory compliance, functionality, and then price and specific goals. The 20 specific goal points are awarded to enterprises that are South African owned (10 points) and enterprises based in KwaZulu-Natal (10 points).
Bid documents are available from 6 to 13 November 2026, on weekdays between 08h30 and 16h00. They are emailed only after payment of a non-refundable fee of R500.00 by EFT, with proof of payment sent to tenders@dubetradeport.co.za; allow two days for funds to clear. A compulsory physical briefing and site inspection will be held on 16 November 2026 at 13:00 on the 7th floor of the iZiko Building, Umsinsi Junction, La Mercy. Only bidders who have paid for and received the documents may attend. Completed proposals must be delivered to the DTPC offices by 11h00 (South African time) on 11 December 2026, clearly marked with the full tender title.
