The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), under the National Department of Employment and Labour, has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ0004784) for the supply and delivery of branded diaries and calendars. The requirement covers three product lines: 1,650 A4 diaries, 1,650 A5 diaries, and 3,300 A5 tent calendars. The diaries have a hard, glossy cover with embossed front-cover benefits, perfect binding, a 170 GSM art paper cover, and 120 GSM uncoated inside pages. Each diary has one day per page, with Saturday and Sunday on single pages and UIF branded content on the first six pages. The UIF will supply the diary cover artwork and print-ready calendar artwork, and logos will be provided on disk, by email, or on USB.
Bidders must submit at least one reference letter with a matching Purchase Order for branding or printing work completed within the past three years. The reference letter must be signed and stamped on the letterhead of the issuing company and state the value and quality of the work. Bidders must complete the pricing schedule and SBD 3.1 (Firm Prices) in full, including VAT where applicable. Prices must be firm and fixed for the full contract duration and remain valid for 90 days from the closing date. Evaluation follows the 80/20 preference point system under the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, with 20 points available for specific goals, including black women, black youth, black persons with disabilities, and B-BBEE contributor status. Bidders must also provide valid tax compliance status (TCS PIN or certificate) and CSD registration details, and must submit a sample for approval before bulk printing. Samples may also be required during evaluation.
