The South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO), a business unit of the National Research Foundation (NRF), is inviting bids for the supply of licences and support for Google Workspace Enterprise Standard and Google Vault services. The bidder must also provide 60 hours of annual telephonic technical support between 08:00 and 17:00, with a 4-hour or next-business-day response time, excluding weekends and public holidays. The initial term is 12 months, with an option to renew for a further 6 months, and pricing must be firm and non-escalating for both periods.
Bidders must be certified Google Workspace resellers and must provide certified Google Workspace administrators for the project, along with a high-level support plan and references demonstrating similar services. The tender is evaluated using the 80/20 price and preference points system under the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, with bidders required to meet mandatory criteria in Stages 1 and 2 before price and preference are evaluated. Bids must be submitted electronically through the National Treasury eTender portal using a valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration, with a closing date of 18 November 2026 at 12:00. Bids are subject to a 90-day validity period, and a two-envelope system applies, with pricing kept separate from the technical proposal.
